2 years ago, Lio had a pet lightning bug that he named... drum roll please... "Lightning". Every time we saw a firefly, he would look to see if it was his special friend. He even drew a picture of Lightning that we taped to his new bedroom window after we moved, so that Lightning would know how to find us.
The other night we were up a bit late so spent some time catching fireflies. That was the 1st of a few late nights for the kids, and we are paying for it. Tonight they will both be in bed by 7, and hopefully will fall fast asleep. I think it's going to take a few early nights to make up for those late ones!
